I’ve had a funny old time taking pictures this last week.
I’m conscious that lots of natural light (probably too much) and being able to call on two excellent cameras in the form of the X-Pro1 (largely with the 14mm lens permanently mounted) and the X100S has meant I’ve become somewhat more focused on buildings, scenes and architecture than I have been previously.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you can use the perspective of shots of taller objects with converging lines to create memorable shots.
Further, the amazing constrasts really lend themselves to black and white photography and/or muted colour tones.
This has all been great fun, but could get very repetitive after a while!
Taken with my X-Pro1 and 14mm XF lens and X100S
Nice architecture shots! I especially like the first, second, and last one.
Cheers from Norway, Norbert.
Thanks Norbert – it’s definitely fun to use converging lines/keystoning as a feature, rather than editing them out, for a change
