So today I went to the park with my family and in an effort not to cause too much trouble with my photography I thought I would take the X100.

I can only say I was staggered by how good the results were. The X100 is far from perfect, it still lacks DR and resolution, but when it’s good it’s really very good indeed. The best part of the camera is the lens, which is very, very good at F2.8 and higher/narrower. I cannot wait for a 16mp X-trans sensor to be sitting behind this lens.

I was blessed with some lovely diffuse light today, so I shouldn’t get too carried away. Nonetheless these shots of my son blew me away.
